Aspire Figure Skating classes teach skaters the basics of figure skating! You will gain the fundamentals of figure skating through learning new skills, exercises and drills! These classes are fun, fast-paced and are meant to be taken more than once a week to gain the most results. All Aspire classes have two parts; an on ice class and a floor class!

Skaters must have passed Snowplow Sam 2 or Basic 2 to join! If you are joining us from a different rink, if you can glide on one foot and know a little bit about figure skating, then these classes are for you! Skaters must be between 2-14 years old to join these classes!

Competitive Aspire Figure Skating is for young figure skaters who are competing Aspire 1-4. These classes focus on power, clean edges & turns, learning basic spin positions and single jumps for competition. Skaters are also working on axel jump exercises so that they can land their axel!

Skaters in Aspire will be advised when it’s a good time to join the Competitive Aspire Figure Skating classes, and anyone joining us from another ice rink should email us to set up an evaluation to make sure these classes are a good fit for them!

Skaters in these classes are consistently landing their axel jumps and are working on double jumps, jump combinations, leveled spins, and they are working on intricate jump & edge exercises.

To join these classes, skaters must have prior approval from Premier's skating director. Please email us for approval.

Skaters in these classes should also enroll in floor classes that are before or after the on ice class time to gain the most from their time at the rink that day!

If you planning to do the Holiday Show, skaters in this level must enroll in Sunday classes to be in the Opening & Closing numbers!

Classes are $20 each in a package.

This class will be working on mental skill concepts that will help skaters to conquer the mental side of figure skating (or any sport)! Basic mental skills such as self-talk, mantras, motivation and confidence will be explored in this section of the class. Participants should expect brief homework assignments.

Figure skating revolves around the International Judging System (IJS), and it is a complex, yet very understandable way to comprehend figure skating. It takes time to learn all of the rules, so this class will focus on the basics of IJS, how skaters can use IJS on a regular basis and strategies skaters use for scoring. Skaters should expect brief homework assignments.

Enhance your artistry, flexibility and strength on the ice by joining our dance classes aimed for figure skaters! The weeks will alternate between ballet and contemporary dance based upon the instructors' schedules!
